This photo depicts a Radiant Red Zinnia (Zinnia elegans), grown on our heirloom seed farm. This photo is made of a stack of 95 macro images combined into one image of such detail and depth that it creates a whole world unto itself. This image offers the opportunity to take a journey into the fine detail of a common flower often found in many gardens. Furthermore, this image contains “energetic tension” within itself, with three distinct areas. First, the pollen-covered petals convey a soft feeling. Then, one reaches the radiant yellow ring around the core, full of vibrancy and life. Lastly, the eyes reach an unexpected centre, with a concentric, spiral-like formation that evokes depth and mystery. One can’t help but wonder what lies behind the spiral, at the very core of the flower. The more one looks, the more one sees.
Print Details
- Sizes: Each print is available in eight sizes: four in inches (imperial) and four in centimetres (metric). For other sizes, please see "Custom Prints".
- Paper: Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm. This is a cotton rag paper with a matte finish, seen by many as the best paper in the world.
- Printing Process: Produced using 12-Colour Giclée printing. This ensures a wide colour gamut, rich tonal depth, and exceptional detail. Museum-grade archival longevity (200+ years fade resistance).
- Framing: Framing is offered to customers on Salt Spring Island or those willing to pick up the prints in person. Please contact me to discuss framing options. If you are outside of my area, I recommend working with a trusted framer for the best results.
- Sustainability: Eco-friendly, water-based, non-toxic inks printed on FSC-certified photo paper.
Packaging & Shipping
Most in-stock prints ship within 2 business days. If the print is yet to be printed, you can expect your print to ship within 2 weeks.
Every order is carefully packaged to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
Shipping is simple and affordable: a flat rate of $10 anywhere in Canada - no matter your location or order size.
Handling Your Print
From the very first moment, please treat your print as what it is: a fine art print. Handle it gently, and avoid touching the surface with your bare hands. Latex or cotton gloves are recommended. It is best to keep it in its sleeve until the time of framing it.
Returns & Damage Policy
Although each print is securely packaged, transit mishandling can occasionally occur. If your print arrives damaged or does not meet your quality expectations, please contact me right away.
