White Scabiosa Triptych - Fine Art Print
This triptych follows the journey of a White Scabiosa (Scabiosa atropurpurea) as it moves through her natural cycle. It begins with the bud stage, a moment of energy gathering. Often overlooked, the bud reveals a mesmerizing geometric structure that holds its own subtle beauty. This is followed by a pure white bloom, the favourite stage of the bees on the farm. The journey concludes with an uncommon seed head, full of soon-to-mature seeds, each marked by a five-pointed star – adding to the geometrical nature of the plant.
Together, these three works reveal the hidden beauty found in unexpected places and, as a collection, evoke a soft and contemplative energy.
Each photograph is composed from a stack of many individual frames combined into a single image of great detail: "The Bud" from 90 photos, "The Bloom" from 69 photos, and "The Bounty" from 79 photos. In total, this triptych is built from 238 images captured throughout the 2025 farming season.
I hope you enjoy the result of this work as much as I do.
Please note: This piece is available either as a pre-designed triptych with botanical borders or as individual prints (with or without botanical borders). If you prefer to assemble your own triptych at home using the three stages of the plant, I recommend selecting the individual prints and framing them to suit your own vision and taste.
Individual Prints:
Print Details
- Sizes: Each print is available in eight sizes: four in inches (imperial) and four in centimetres (metric). Choose the format that fits your space best, wherever you are in the world.
- Botanical Borders: Each print is offered in two versions: Full image, where the photograph extends edge-to-edge, and Onyx Black Borders, featuring the print's title and the plant’s botanical name. Triptychs always have borders. Please note that the borders slightly reduce the size of the image itself.
- Paper: Printed on fine art smooth, matte paper with a soft, glare-free finish. Acid-free and archival for long-term preservation.
- Printing Process: Produced using Giclée printing with 1200+ dpi resolution and premium pigment-based inks. This ensures a wide colour gamut, rich tonal depth, and exceptional detail - preserving both vivid colours and subtle gradients with museum-grade longevity.
- Framing: Framing is not yet offered, as I am currently evaluating partners that meet my quality standards. I recommend working with a trusted local framer for the best results. If you prefer prints with white borders to simplify framing, please see the “Custom Prints” section below. Also, when envisioning your desired framing, take into account whether you got a print with Botanical Borders or not.
- Sustainability: Printed on FSC-certified paper.
Packaging & Shipping
Your print will be produced and shipped directly by a regional professional photo lab. In most cases, this means your order will be printed and dispatched within your region, reducing shipping times and avoiding additional customs fees. In rare cases, customs charges may apply depending on the origin and destination.
Most prints ship within 2 to 5 days.
Every order is carefully packaged to ensure your print arrives in perfect condition.
Handling Your Print
Depending on the size, your print will most likely arrive rolled in a sturdy shipping tube. From the very first moment, please treat it as what it is: a fine art print. Handle it gently, and avoid touching the surface with your bare hands. Latex or cotton gloves are recommended.
Carefully remove the print from the tube and place it on a clean, flat surface, allowing it to relax and flatten naturally. For best results, wait to unroll your print until your framing materials are ready, either at home or with a professional framer.
Returns & Damage Policy
Although each print is securely packaged, transit mishandling can occasionally occur. If your print arrives damaged or does not meet your quality expectations, please contact me right away. I will gladly arrange a replacement at no additional cost to you.
